Newcastle Coin Dealers

ID/PAYMENT/AML POLICY

As a responsible business, we do not wish to purchase any stolen goods or any item associated with
criminal activity such as tax evasion or money laundering. We therefore require an official form of photo ID
(passport, driving licence, etc.) from anyone selling any item or collection valued at over £1000 to us. We also
require ID for items/collections valued under £1000 if these contain gold, platinum, or named medals. We may also
require ID for any low-value item/collection at our absolute discretion, so please bring official photo ID with you
if you plan to sell something to us.

We accept credit and debit cards for non-bullion purchases only. We do not accept or make cash payments exceeding 10,000 euros (approx. £8000).
This applies whether it is a single payment/transaction or a series of linked payments/transactions. We accept bank transfers for all purchases.

Customers selling or purchasing investment gold coins valued over £5000 in a single transaction or £10,000
in any 365-day period must provide us with both proof of identity (passport, driving licence...) and proof of address
(utility bill, bank statement, council tax bill...). This is as per the HMRC requirements outlined in VAT notice 701/21.
